Large-scale excavators have a large amount of earthwork during construction, and they do not travel frequently. When they are transferred to work locations for long distances, they are generally transported by trailers. The small excavator has a small amount of earthwork during construction, and it often needs to be transferred to the work site over long distances. 1. Cause of damage



Small crawler excavator rollers are mainly composed of wheel body, axle, copper sleeve, floating seal ring, O-ring and end cover. There are five reasons for the early wear of the roller axle: First, the roller heats up during frequent and long-distance walking, which dilutes the lubricating oil and deteriorates the lubrication effect. Second, the friction surface pressure of the floating seal ring is too high. When the lubricating oil is diluted, the friction surface of the floating seal ring will be scratched, causing the floating seal ring to leak oil. Third, the high temperature accelerates the aging deformation and reduced elasticity of the O-ring at the floating seal ring, causing the O-ring to leak oil. Fourth, after the oil leakage of the floating seal ring and O-ring, the axle, copper sleeve and other parts are worn out. Fifth, the lubricating oil cavity formed by the wheel body and the end cover is too small, and the stored lubricating oil hinge is small. When the lubricating oil deteriorates and leaks, the axle and the copper sleeve cannot be fully lubricated.



2. Improvement measures



To solve the problem of oil leakage of the support roller, it is necessary to solve the problem of high temperature heating and the sealing problem at the two floating seal rings. The improved support wheels are shown in the attached drawings. The specific improvement measures are as follows: ---Quanzhou excavator support wheels


One is to change the angle of the floating seal ring seat cavity in the end cover from the original 15 to 10 to increase the contact surface between the end cover and the O-ring and prevent the O-ring and the seat cavity from rotating relative to each other, thereby making the O-ring The seal between the ring, the end cover and the wheel body is more reliable.



The second is to increase the size of the floating seal ring seat cavity formed by the wheel body and the end cover to reduce the pressure and friction resistance of each pair of floating seal ring contact surfaces, thereby reducing the heat generated by the contact friction of the floating seal ring. ---Quanzhou excavator support wheels



The third is to increase the diameter of the waist of the supporting wheels to increase the volume of the oil cavity at the waist to ensure sufficient lubrication.



The fourth is to increase the oil storage space at the floating seal ring by increasing the distance of the seat cavity to ensure that the lubricant can effectively cool the floating seal ring.



Fifth, an oil groove is made on the inner wall of the copper sleeve to make the contact surface with the wheel shaft fully lubricated; at the same time, oil holes are drilled on the inner wall of the wheel to ensure that the lubricating oil can circulate.



After the above improvements, the support rollers can be fully lubricated, and the floating oil seal is well sealed, which can fully meet the requirements of frequent turning and long-distance driving of small excavators. ---Quanzhou excavator supporting wheel
